- Wii have liftoff!
Ah HA! I got a few tips on where I might be able to get a Wii before Thanksgiving. A local toy store should be getting a large shipment in this weekend. My source warns that I may need to do a bit of camping out as they expect there to be a line for the coveted console.
I may have a sleeping bag and lawn chair in my future. Now I’ve just got to see if I can get a buddy to camp out with me. *COUGH-Troy?-COUGH*
So what made our family decide to go for a Wii? Well a few things. The Wii has, by all accounts, a good implementation of the Opera web browser and WiFi access. It also has nice photo viewing and other media features. But really it’s the focus on activities that can be shared.
90% of the time it was just me… playing with myself
For the short time I had an XBox(Classic) there were only two games that the wife had any interest in, Tetris Worlds and Hot Shots Golf.We would play these together every so often but 90% of the time it was just me… playing with myself. (Go ahead, you can giggle.) The Wii is also something that lends itself to games that my soon to be three year old son could play with us and enjoy. The whole “off the couch gaming” is very appealing as the weather gets bad and we can’t go to the park as often.
Oh and Guitar Hero III is crank and after tasting it I MUST have more.
