WOW! I’ve been trying to think of ways to make my short (<10 mile) work commute as fuel efficient as possible. I drive a little Gulf with a standard transmission and keep up with it's maintenance but with gas hitting $4.00 a gallon I may have to start pushing for working from home as much as I can.

The Enertia Bike would seem like the awesome solution to making my commute gas free but at $12,000 base it’s the motorcycle equivalent of the Tesla Roadster. However companies like ZERO MOTORCYCLES are popping up too. I’m wondering if one of these all electric dirt devils can be made street legal? At $7,450 the ZERO X seems much more attainable.
